Waterfall Beach is a few kilometres east of Greens Pool in William Bay National Park. In winter, the waterfall courses across the heathland and pours out over the weathered rocks and down to the beach. Once at the beach, it carves out a channel to the sea. This movement of water often brings together contrasting coloured sands.
This image was in a series of four, which were recognised by the Photographer of the Year awards, gaining a top 30 placement in the aerial category, in 2021. It was also commended in the landscape portfolio category of Australia’s Top Emerging Photographers 2021competition.
